Finding the right clothing manufacturers in China is not just about finding a factory—it’s about finding one that matches your product category, order size, development needs, and target market.
This guide compares 10 clothing manufacturers in China by product focus, services, and buyer scale, helping you quickly shortlist suitable suppliers before requesting samples or placing an order.

Which Clothing Manufacturer in China Is Right for Your Brand?
The best manufacturer is not always the biggest or the cheapest. What matters is whether the factory fits your product, order size, quality needs, and target market.
Before comparing prices or MOQs, think about what your brand actually needs. Here is a simple way to narrow down your options:
- Starting your first collection? Choose a manufacturer that can help with samples, fabrics, sizing, and product development.
- Focused on one product category? Look for a factory that specializes in products such as womenswear, denim, kidswear, activewear, shirts, or knitwear.
- Growing your brand? Choose a supplier that can provide consistent quality, stable materials, and reliable production for repeat orders.
- Ordering at a larger scale? A large or vertically integrated manufacturer may be a better fit for higher volumes and more complex production needs.
How These Chinese Clothing Manufacturers Were Selected
We selected these manufacturers based on their product focus, services, target buyers, and production scale—not simply on who claims to be the “best.”
For each company, we looked at three key questions:
- What do they make? Their main clothing categories and manufacturing capabilities.
- Who do they work with? Startups, growing brands, wholesalers, retailers, or larger companies.
- What can be verified? Information from official company websites, corporate filings, and other available first-party sources.
Keep in mind that online information cannot confirm everything. Factory capacity, certifications, pricing, MOQs, and production availability can change over time.
Before placing an order, always verify the company details, factory location, certificates, product samples, pricing, and production terms directly with the supplier.
10 Best Clothing Manufacturers in China for Startups and Fashion Brands

1. Hongyu Apparel
Official Website: hongyuapparel.com
Location: Humen, Dongguan, Guangdong, China
Hongyu Apparel is a Dongguan-based custom clothing manufacturer that publicly serves independent labels and startup designers. Its website describes support for fabric and trim sourcing, pattern and sample development, cut-and-sew production, private labels, packaging, quality checks, and shipment coordination.
The company separates blank wholesale, logo customization, and original manufacturing into different routes, which can help new brands define the service they need. Buyers should still confirm the contracting entity, production facility, outsourced processes, MOQ by style and color, sample revisions, bulk tolerances, and inspection rights.
Key Products:
- Custom fashion apparel
- Streetwear and casualwear
- Activewear and swimwear
Best for: Startup brands seeking broad product development and full-package support.

2. MMS Clothing
Official Website: mmsclothing.com
Location: Pengzhou, Chengdu, Sichuan, China
MMS Clothing is a Chengdu-based clothing manufacturer and wholesaler. Its public services cover consultation, design and tech-pack support, fabric sourcing, pattern work, sampling, production, printing, embroidery, private labels, packaging, and delivery.
This service range can help founders who have a concept but no production-ready specification. Buyers should distinguish a prototype, stock-garment customization, and repeatable original production because each route has different material and quantity constraints. Confirm who handles cutting and sewing, who owns the pattern files, what the sample fee includes, and which material minimum drives bulk production.
Key Products:
- Custom fashion apparel
- Printed and embroidered garments
- Private-label basics
Best for: Early prototypes, small test programs, and founders needing development support.

3. Lezhou Garment
Official Website: lezhougarment.com
Location: Humen, Dongguan, Guangdong, China
Lezhou Garment focuses on custom casualwear and streetwear. Its official site lists fabric and accessory sourcing, sample development, bulk production, printing, embroidery, private labels, packing, and shipping as parts of its service model.
The product mix can suit a coordinated capsule whose hoodies, tees, sweatshirts, and bottoms share fabrics, colors, labels, and decoration methods. Public pages show different order information across service pathways, so buyers should request a current written MOQ for the exact style, fabric, color count, size range, decoration, and packaging. They should also confirm which processes are completed at the stated facility.
Key Products:
- T-shirts and polo shirts
- Hoodies and sweatshirts
- Tracksuits, pants, and shorts
Best for: Streetwear labels and casualwear brands building coordinated capsule collections.

4. H&Fourwing
Official Website: hfourwing.com
Location: Fenghua District, Ningbo, Zhejiang, China
H&Fourwing positions itself as a women’s clothing manufacturer in Ningbo. Its public range includes dresses, blouses, skirts, trousers, jackets, jumpsuits, and tops, supported by fabric sourcing, pattern making, sampling, labeling, inspection, and logistics services.
Women’s fashion depends on drape, lining, bust shaping, seam placement, closures, and fit balance, so buyers should request recent examples using a similar fabric and silhouette. Before sampling, confirm the legal manufacturer, production address, current MOQ, fabric minimum, fit process, grading rules, and capability for the most difficult construction detail. Complex styles need a specific approval and inspection plan.
Key Products:
- Dresses and jumpsuits
- Blouses, skirts, and tops
- Trousers and jackets
Best for: Women’s fashion brands developing dresses and woven collections.

5. JIMJEANS
Official Website: jimjeans.com
Location: Zhongtang Town, Dongguan, Guangdong, China
JIMJEANS presents a custom denim service covering material sourcing, pattern and sample development, cutting and sewing, garment washing, private labeling, packing, and shipping. Its catalog centers on jeans and related denim products.
Denim requires control beyond sewing because fabric shrinkage, wash recipes, shade bands, abrasion, hardware, seam twist, and finished measurements interact. Buyers should reconfirm the published minimum for their denim weight, color, wash, hardware, and size range. Ask where sewing and laundry take place, how shrinkage is tested, what shade variation is accepted, and which wash-facility documents are available.
Key Products:
- Custom jeans
- Denim jackets
- Denim shorts and related styles
Best for: Denim-focused brands requiring private labels and custom washes.

6. SIUKID
Official Website: siukid.com
Location: Baiyun District, Guangzhou, Guangdong, China
SIUKID focuses on babywear and children’s clothing rather than every apparel category. Its public services cover OEM and ODM development, fabric decisions, samples, labels, packaging, and production planning for kidswear collections.
That focus matters because age range affects fit, grading, construction, decoration, labeling, and market requirements. Buyers comparing China kids clothing manufacturers should seek experience with the same garment type and intended age. For each project, confirm the product-specific MOQ, size range, production site, testing plan, inspection criteria, documentation, and delivery basis instead of relying on a general factory statement.
Key Products:
- Babywear and children’s sets
- Kids’ dresses, tops, and bottoms
- Children’s outerwear and sleepwear
Best for: Startups and fashion brands developing babywear or kidswear collections.

7. Yotex Apparel
Official Website: yotex-apparel.com
Location: Shanghai office; published manufacturing site in Xiamen, Fujian, China
Yotex Apparel presents itself as a functional apparel manufacturer serving activewear, sportswear, outdoor clothing, swimwear, jackets, leggings, hoodies, and kids’ sportswear. Its public services cover design, fabric sourcing, development, production, inspection, private labels, packaging, and delivery.
Performance garments should be evaluated as material systems because stretch recovery, pilling, colorfastness, opacity, moisture management, seam comfort, and wash performance matter alongside appearance. Buyers should confirm the current legal entity and production site, then request fabric specifications, test methods, MOQ, audit scope, and production allocation. Any sustainability or performance claim needs evidence tied to the chosen material and order.
Key Products:
- Activewear and leggings
- Sportswear and outdoor apparel
- Swimwear and functional jackets
Best for: Growing brands developing performance-led activewear or sportswear.

8. Arlisman
Official Website: arlisman.com
Location: Shaxi Town, Zhongshan, Guangdong, China
Arlisman is a Zhongshan garment factory focused on basic menswear, knitwear, and selected casual bottoms. Its official site describes OEM and ODM support, material selection, design assistance, pattern work, cutting, sewing, decoration, inspection, and packing.
The category focus can suit brands developing coordinated men’s essentials rather than highly specialized fashion products. Buyers should ask for recent samples using the same fabric, knit structure, fit, and decoration method. They should also confirm the contracting entity, current MOQ by style and color, material source, sample ownership, production capacity available to the order, subcontracted processes, and written quality tolerances.
Key Products:
- T-shirts and polo shirts
- Sweaters, sweatshirts, and hoodies
- Casual pants and jeans
Best for: Menswear brands building basics, knitwear, and casual collections.

9. Crystal International
Official Website: crystalgroup.com
Location: Kowloon, Hong Kong headquarters; multi-country production including China
Crystal International operates a multi-country apparel manufacturing platform with production in China and several other Asian markets. Its public business segments include lifestyle wear, denim, intimate apparel, sweaters, sportswear, and outdoor apparel.
The group is organized into category divisions, so different products may be handled by different teams, facilities, and countries. This model is more relevant to established brands and retailers than to very small startup orders. Buyers should confirm the correct division, legal entity, China facility, order threshold, onboarding process, capacity window, testing responsibilities, and country of production before treating Crystal as a suitable sourcing route.
Key Products:
- Lifestyle and knitwear
- Denim and intimate apparel
- Sportswear and outdoor clothing
Best for: Established brands managing large or multi-category apparel programs.

10. Shenzhou International
Official Website: shenzhouintl.com
Location: Beilun District, Ningbo, Zhejiang, China
Shenzhou International is a vertically integrated apparel group with fabric and garment production bases in China, Cambodia, and Vietnam. Its current annual report identifies sportswear, casualwear, and other knitwear as its core product areas.
This is an enterprise sourcing option rather than a typical startup factory. Integrated fabric and garment operations can support structured programs, but access depends on order scale, category fit, capacity, and formal onboarding. Buyers should confirm the commercial entry route, minimum program, material requirements, development process, production country, allocation, traceability documents, and the legal entity that will contract and invoice the order.
Key Products:
- Sportswear and activewear
- Casual knitwear
- Integrated knitted fabric and garments
Best for: Enterprise brands with high-volume, repeat knitwear programs.
Which Manufacturer Fits Your Product and Business Stage?
A useful shortlist is small. Choose manufacturers whose ordinary category, material, and order model resemble your own. Then compare them on the same specification.
| Buyer scenario | Manufacturers to investigate | Why |
|---|---|---|
| First custom collection | Hongyu Apparel, MMS Clothing | Both publicly describe development support for smaller brands |
| Streetwear or casual capsule | Lezhou Garment, Hongyu Apparel | Relevant casual categories and branding services |
| Women’s fashion | H&Fourwing, Hongyu Apparel | Pattern, fit and fashion-product pathways |
| Denim line | JIMJEANS, Crystal International | Specialist route versus enterprise denim division |
| Babywear or kidswear | SIUKID | Category-specific development and production focus |
| Activewear | Yotex Apparel, Shenzhou International | Specialist development versus integrated enterprise production |
| Men’s basics and knitwear | Arlisman | Category focus across tees, polos, sweaters, hoodies and casual bottoms |
| Large multi-category program | Crystal International, Shenzhou International | Enterprise systems and multi-facility capability |
Select three candidates, send the same RFQ, and sample with the strongest two. Let quotation accuracy, material choices, sample execution, and problem handling determine the winner.
Why Do Fashion Brands Source Clothing From China?
China’s established apparel regions connect garment factories with fabric, trim, decoration, testing, packaging, and freight partners. That network can simplify complex development.
The practical advantages usually fall into four areas:
- Category depth: Buyers can find specialists for basics, fashion wovens, denim, children’s clothing, activewear, outerwear, intimate apparel, and many production techniques.
- Development options: Depending on the supplier, a brand may use stock customization, ODM, full-package OEM, or a more buyer-managed CMT model.
- Material access: Established sourcing teams can present multiple fabrics, trims, finishes, and decoration methods during development.
- Pathways to scale: Some suppliers support smaller launches, while large groups can handle structured repeat programs for established brands.
These advantages do not make China automatically cheaper or lower risk. A brand still needs to manage distance, communication, intellectual property, supplier transparency, material minimums, freight, duties, and destination-market obligations. Learn the difference between OEM, ODM and private label clothing before contacting factories, because the model changes what you provide, what the supplier controls, and what the quotation should include.
What Should a Startup Verify Before Contacting a Chinese Manufacturer?
Verification should begin before you pay for samples. Make sure the company being evaluated will contract, produce, document, and receive payment for the order.
Use this four-part check:
- Legal and operating role: Match the business license, quotation, contract, invoice, bank account, facility address, and certificate holder. Ask whether the supplier is a direct factory, trading company, sourcing partner, or mixed operation.
- Category evidence: Request recent examples with a similar fabric, construction, fit, decoration, and order scale. A polished catalog image is weaker evidence than a controlled sample and production record.
- Commercial assumptions: Break MOQ down by style, color, size, fabric, and process. Confirm sample charges, revisions, tooling, packaging, testing, inspection, Incoterm, payment schedule, and quotation validity.
- Documents and responsibility: Separate management-system audits, material certificates, finished-product test reports, and market-specific labels or certificates. Check the holder, facility, scope, number, and expiry.
For a deeper process, use this guide to find and verify a custom clothing manufacturer.
If products will be sold in the United States, the FTC states that most textile and wool products need labels covering fiber content, country of origin, and the manufacturer or another responsible business. Clothing also falls under the Care Labeling Rule. Children’s products add separate CPSC testing, certificate, and tracking considerations where applicable. The responsible U.S. manufacturer or importer, not a laboratory, issues a Children’s Product Certificate for a covered product based on qualifying evidence. Requirements depend on the exact product and market, so obtain qualified compliance advice when needed.
What Is the Minimum Order Quantity for Chinese Clothing Manufacturers?
Across the factories above, published minimums run from 50 pieces at the low end to 300 for knitwear, with 100–200 the most common band for cut-and-sew.
But the number is less important than the unit it is counted in, and this is where new brands lose money.
The three ways MOQ is counted
| Counting method | What “MOQ 200” actually means | Your real commitment |
|---|---|---|
| Per style | 200 pieces total, which you may split across sizes and colours | 200 pieces |
| Per style, per colour | 200 pieces of each colour | 2 colours = 400 pieces |
| Per style, per colour, per size | 200 pieces of each size in each colour | 4 sizes × 2 colours = 1,600 pieces |
Same headline number, an eightfold difference in cash. Ask which one applies in your first email, and get the answer in writing. Lezhou publishing “200 pieces, mix four sizes and two colours” is a meaningfully better offer than an unqualified “MOQ 200” from another factory, and you would never know from the number alone.
Where minimums come from
Minimums are not arbitrary. They come from three real costs:
- Fabric. Dye lots have a floor. A mill will not run a custom colour for 80 metres, so custom-dyed fabric sets a hard minimum regardless of how willing the factory is.
- Set-up. Pattern making, grading, marker making, machine set-up and print screens all cost the same whether you make 100 pieces or 10,000.
- Line time. Stopping a production line to change over to a small order has a cost the factory has to recover somewhere.
Understanding this tells you which minimums are negotiable and which are not. A factory can often flex line time. It cannot flex a dye lot.
Five ways to get your minimum down
- Use the factory’s in-stock fabric instead of custom dyeing. This is the single biggest lever, and it removes the mill’s minimum from the equation entirely.
- Cut colours, not pieces. Two colours at 150 each is usually easier to get approved than one colour at 300.
- Consider garment dyeing for simple styles — dye the finished garment rather than the fabric, and the colour decision moves later and smaller.
- Accept a longer lead time. If you can wait, a factory may combine your fabric with another customer’s dye lot.
- Start from an existing block. Adapting a pattern the factory already has avoids full development cost. You give up some design control and get a much lower entry point.
The honest trade-off: lower minimums mean higher unit prices. At 100 pieces you might pay 1.5 to 2 times the per-piece price of a 1,000-piece run. That is not the factory taking advantage of you — it is fixed cost divided by fewer units. Budget for it rather than being surprised by it.
Our own minimum is 200 pieces per style, and we are happy to explain how it is counted before you send anything.

How SIUKID Supports Kidswear Startups and Fashion Brands
SIUKID focuses on babywear and children’s clothing, so our role is narrower than a general apparel factory. A project may begin with a finished tech pack, a reference sample, sketches, or a clear product direction. We review what is available and identify the specifications, materials, samples, approvals, and evidence still needed before bulk production can be planned.
To begin a useful conversation, send the product category, intended age and size range, quantity by style and color, destination market, material direction, artwork or decoration, reference files, and target timing. Our children’s clothing OEM and ODM services explain the available development paths. MOQ, sampling, testing, documentation, production timing, and quotation basis are confirmed for the actual project.
Choosing Your First Chinese Manufacturing Partner
Work it in this order: shortlist by category, verify you are talking to an actual factory, then work backwards from your launch date to find your order deadline. Most first-order disasters come from doing these in the wrong sequence — usually falling for a good quote before checking either of the other two.
Then finish your tech pack, send it to three to five factories that make your category, and pay for samples from the two that answer best.
If you are building a children’s or girls’ boutique line and want a quote from one of the clothing manufacturers in China on this list, send us your tech pack or reference images and we will come back with pricing, timeline and a sampling plan.
Frequently Asked Questions
What is the best clothing manufacturer in China for a startup?
The best manufacturer is the one that fits your category, specifications, quantity, development needs, and target market. A startup should favor relevant product evidence, clear communication, and a workable sample pathway over a famous name or the lowest advertised MOQ.
What is a typical MOQ for clothing manufacturers in China?
There is no reliable universal MOQ. The workable quantity depends on style, fabric, color, size range, custom dyeing, printing, embroidery, hardware, labels, and packaging. Ask for the breakdown per style and color, plus the component that creates the minimum.
Can a startup manufacture a small clothing collection in China?
Yes, but flexibility often comes with trade-offs. Stock fabric, fewer colors, simpler construction, existing base styles, and paid sampling can reduce the opening commitment. A smaller order may also carry a higher unit cost, so compare total launch cost rather than MOQ alone.
Do I need a tech pack before contacting a manufacturer?
A tech pack is strongly preferred because it improves quotation and sample accuracy. Some development-oriented manufacturers can begin with annotated references, sketches, or a physical sample, but decisions still need to be converted into measurements, materials, construction notes, artwork, labels, and tolerances.
What is the difference between OEM, ODM and private label?
In practical apparel sourcing, OEM usually starts from the buyer’s specification, ODM begins with more supplier-developed design input, and private label places the buyer’s branding on a product. Suppliers use these terms differently, so ask exactly who owns the design and what can be changed.
